Tandem seating is one of the many seating options on an airboat.  On this AirRanger, the pilot seat is forward.  A rear operator is more popular.

The new  AirRanger   hull features a patented chine design that enables to to turn on a dime and traverse the deep water with confidence. The new hull has not one but two deep brakes in each side, not five but seven longitudinal bottom stringers for extra stiffness.  The AirRanger hull has a 3/16 in. aluminum alloy bulk head and a 3/16 in. transom with an extended splash guard.  The  "bullet proof" 5086 marine aluminum alloy is also used in the bottom where the 3/16 in. of aluminum is clad with 3/8 inches of UHMW "teflon like" polymer.  

This plus a specialized I-beam mid-ship brace gives you the toughest all terrain boat in the world.  The 5086 alloy hull is so rigid, durable, and well made that American can extend the best warranty in the industry.  Other manufacturers have a 90 day or 1 year warranty.  American has a life time warranty on the integrity of the hull.  In our 35+ year history, we have had to replace engines that failed during the 1 year OEM warranty period.  We have never had to do anything to the bulletproof AirRanger hull other than replace the poly which will wear out  in 10 years or so. (Except in extreme use)
